Frequently asked questions.
What is Cotillion?
Cotillion is a time-honored tradition that cultivates courtesy, confidence, and character in young people. Through guided instruction in etiquette, social dance, and conversational poise, students gain the skills to carry themselves with grace in any setting.
Who may participate?
EverGrace Cotillion welcomes both young ladies and young gentlemen. Participation is generally open to students in grades 5th-8th who are eager to grow in social confidence and refinement.
How are invitations extended?
Families are encouraged to complete our Interest Form. Invitations are offered on a first-response basis, as spaces are limited to preserve the quality of instruction and the balance of young ladies and young gentlemen in each class.
What is the time commitment?
The Cotillion season includes four sessions, each approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. A detailed schedule is provided on our “5th Grade Class”, “6th Grade Class” and “7th/8th Grade Class” pages.
What do students wear?
EverGrace Cotillion upholds a standard of refined attire. Gentlemen are expected to wear coats and ties, while ladies are asked to wear dresses or skirts of appropriate length (for sitting or dancing, we recommend knee length or longer). White gloves are required for all ladies. Gloves may be pre-ordered through EverGrace Cotillion and conveniently collected on the first day of class.
What skills will be taught?
Instruction includes the art of introductions, conversational ease, social and ballroom dance, proper dining etiquette, and the courtesies that distinguish a well-mannered young adult.
Is prior dance experience required?
Not at all. All dance instruction is taught step by step, with patience and encouragement, ensuring that every student is comfortable and confident.
When and where are classes held?
Classes are held in Suwanee, GA. Specific dates, times, and venues are included with your invitation.
Is there a cost to participate?
Yes. Tuition for the Cotillion season is $275, which covers all instruction, materials, and events. Full details are provided with the invitation.
How many students are in each class?
To ensure personal attention and a balanced experience, each class is limited in size. A minimum of thirty participants per class is recommended. Spaces are offered on a first-response basis.
How do I reserve my child’s place?
Complete the Interest Form to be considered for an invitation. Should your child be invited, instructions for confirming enrollment and submitting tuition will be included in October.
Are parents involved?
Parents are invited to attend the final session for 5th and 6th graders to participate and observe progress. We have found that the 6th and 7th/8th grade participants enjoy themed evenings with their peers as they begin to experience social events independently.
What is a Parent Coordinator?
Parent Coordinators are those who graciously support EverGrace Cotillion by sharing information with fellow families and extending invitations within their circles. In recognition of their efforts, Parent Coordinators receive discounted tuition. For more information about serving in this role, please reach out to Gracelyn. Limited positions.
Is attendance required for all sessions?
To gain the full benefit of Cotillion instruction, consistent attendance is strongly encouraged.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
We understand that sometimes plans change! To ensure fairness to all participants, registrations are non-transferable. Refunds will be available only before the refund deadline of November 1, 2025 and are subject to a $30 processing fee, unless the refund is due to an error on our part. After this date, we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds.
